Hi, I am Annie, a licensed therapist (LMFT) and certified perinatal mental health specialist (PMH-C) based in Santa Barbara. I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating some of life's most demanding seasons — from pregnancy and postpartum to birth trauma, early parenthood, life transitions, and healing from trauma. I completed my clinical training at UCSF's Infant Parent Program and bring specialized expertise in the parent-child relationship and early childhood alongside my broader work with adults. I am also a mom of two, which means I bring both clinical depth and real lived experience to this work.
I am very honest, caring, real and genuine. Encouragement and support for their future journey.
Through the course of my career I have primarily worked with individuals who are experiencing Depression and Anxiety, adjusting to life changes and transitions, having difficulty managing stress, and challenges with interpersonal relationships. I support healthy communication in relationships and explore parenting skills to encourage healthy family dynamics. I also work with the Deaf individuals and understand the cultural needs.
I specialize with the symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADHD and high spectrum autism. My approach is to involve the individual persons' needs for developing better communication skills, coping skills, support systems, insights, and physical health. My office is set up for creative play and insightful communication games.
My name is Joey Ritkes (he/him). I have been working as a mental health therapist for over five years. My practice has primarily been specialized in working with LGBTQ+ youth. However, I have worked with couples, families, emerging adults, and adults from all backgrounds. I am a client-centered therapist who enjoys working collaboratively with my clients to meet their goals.
I genuinely like people, have always love to help ,
Will take my clients through the therapeutic process, with empathy and care for their experience in therapy to be a positive one.
As a first-generation Mexican American and member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I understand the importance of culturally responsive, affirming mental health care. My own healing journey through therapy showed me the power of feeling seen, supported, and understood, and that continues to guide the work I do today.
Hi, I’m Nicole. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am dedicated to providing compassionate, empathetic, client centered care. I am mindful that this journey can be challenging. My passion is to create a safe environment where clients can feel heard and understood. I would be honored to be a part of your healing journey.
Hello and welcome! There is so much I want to share with you!
I acknowledge that finding a therapist can sometimes feel overwhelming because you want to find a good fit, someone who “gets” you, so I thank you for being here.
I identify as a Latinx, cis gender woman, feminist, BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ ally, and spiritual. I am the granddaughter of immigrants from Mexico and the daughter of working class parents. Before coming to Marriage and Family Therapy, I earned a Master’s degree in Women’s Studies, and wrote my thesis on the jurisprudence of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. I am aware of the dominant societal structures, narratives, expectations and pressures that can impact your story and how you live it. I look forward to being alongside you as you write a preferred story – one that is fully authored by you.
Prior to focusing on Marriage and Family Therapy, I worked for close to nineteen years in higher education leadership, advising and mentoring college students at a public university in Southern California. The relationships I fostered with students and the stories they shared with me inspired me to move into Marriage and Family Therapy. Like my work with the students, my therapy work is filled with compassion, empathy and understanding. And while there may sometimes be difficult conversations and tears in our work, I also invite in laughter, lightness and joy.
I am currently scheduling online and in-person appointments. I am available Mondays- Thursdays, and Saturdays.
I am Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. I have been practicing therapy since November 2015 and licensed since January 2023. The modality I mainly use is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), but also pull from other modalities as one modality may not fit all clientele. I have had experience with self-esteem, couples, anxiety (mild to moderate levels), depression (mild levels), grief/loss and end of life. I have work with prior law enforcement experience, substitute teacher (Elementary thru High School), and various other vocational experience. NOTE: I am not a psychiatrist, so I do NOT prescribe medication.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 16 years of experience. I am also former Naval Officer of 6 years who provided mental health to active duty and their families. I utilize Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) (i.e, mindfulness and values-focused) as my baseline approach and hypnotherapy, Jungian Psychotherapy and Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) to help with Trauma. These together make a great team to aide you in your healing process. I believe in developing a healthy Client-Therapist relationship to fully support any other approaches.
