Hi there, my name's Nadeem. I 'm a clinical psychologist and work to help people with a range of issues from depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and family conflicts to helping people make more sense of themselves and their pasts. I also welcome people to speak about issues of race, class, ethnicity, sexuality, gender, ability, and spirituality in therapy.
If you were curious about my professional background, I am a licensed clinical psychologist with well over a decade of post-graduate experience. Prior to graduate school, I worked as a Mental Health Specialist at McLean Hospital and as a Research Assistant at the Harvard Study of Adult Development. I then completed my Masters in Science and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the PAU-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium.
Professionally, I’ve worked as a Staff Psychologist and Training Director at Santa Clara University’s Counseling and Psychological Services and later as a faculty member at San Jose State University’s Counseling and Psychological Services.
I’ve spent my professional life walking alongside people in some of their most vulnerable moments—from infants in early childhood programs to youth in group homes, adults in substance-use recovery, and families involved with CPS. These experiences shaped my belief that everyone has the capacity to heal when they have the opportunity to match with a therapist who can listen, teach, challenge, and support them through it. I am trauma-informed and utilize approaches such as CBT and EMDR to help clients move from survival to restoration and growth. My approach is practical, real, and deeply rooted in lived experience and genuine care for the people I serve.
Something uncomfortable brought you here. You may have tried to move forward and found that something still lingers. You understand what’s going on, but it hasn’t shifted in a meaningful way. My clients come ready to do real work. I meet each person as a whole person, not as a diagnosis or as a presenting problem. I work primarily with adults and young adults, using EMDR alongside CBT and solution-focused and person-centered approaches that support real change. Our focus is on what hasn’t moved and why, so you’re not just managing symptoms but creating genuine, lasting movement forward. If you have done the talking and still do not feel free, I would love to connect.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, navigating relationship challenges, or trying to manage things like ADHD, PMDD, or hormone-related changes, you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. I know how much life can demand—balancing work, relationships, family, and everything in between can leave very little space to actually slow down and check in with yourself.
I work with adults and couples, and I really value creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and easy to show up in. My style is laid-back and genuine, and I care a lot about building a strong, collaborative connection so therapy feels helpful—not intimidating.
Do you feel like something is wrong with you? Is your child acting out and you don't know why or what to do? Do you always feel like adults don't understand? My practice is based around what happened to us, not what is wrong with us. Whether you’re a youth looking to be understood or a parent who needs support with their child, I am here to support & guide you in processing thoughts and feelings, reflect on experiences, learn new coping skills, and figure out next steps. I will listen, teach, brainstorm, guide and help you build tools to meet your goals.
