As a first-generation Mexican American and member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I understand the importance of culturally responsive, affirming mental health care. My own healing journey through therapy showed me the power of feeling seen, supported, and understood, and that continues to guide the work I do today.
I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of experience in psychiatry, providing both therapy and medication management. My background includes working with trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, and serious mental illness, including psychosis, schizophrenia, schizoaffective, and bipolar disorders. In therapy, I focus on healthcare professionals, law enforcement, and first responders. My work centers on helping people move toward post-traumatic growth—not just surviving.
Hi, I’m Danielle Roxborough, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and founder of Love is a Verb Counseling. I work with couples and individuals through a trauma-informed, relational lens because I believe relationships are where we experience both our deepest wounds and our greatest healing. My work integrates the Gottman Method, attachment-based therapy, EFT and DBT skills, and I specialize in supporting neurodivergent individuals and partnerships. I’m also a certified Fair Play Method facilitator, helping couples build more balanced, collaborative partnerships at home.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience working in end-of-life care. I specialize in working with individuals and families who are dealing with life transitions and grief. I also work well with individuals struggling with challenges associated with aging, chronic illness and life limiting diseases.
I love doing this work! I consider it a great privilege to walk alongside my clients, to partner with them, support them in their journey, and witness their growth.
There are always solutions for problems that we encounter, even the problems that we have been stuck with for quite some time. Though, there is no quick fix or one-size approach either. Therapy is a collaborative healing process to improve functioning in several areas of our life. I will guide you through these challenges and provide you with the tools along the way. Collaboration is extremely important during the process to establish comfortable space to promote growth.
I am Jennifer Ferguson. I knew I wanted to be a therapist when I was 13. After college, I was a teacher on and off-interspersed with staying home with children. While completing my counseling degree from Capella University, I was still able to stay at home with my children. I have worked at a drug rehab center for women, a small private school as their mental health therapist, at a mental health hospital outpatient program, and in private practice, virtually and in-person.
