I have been providing therapy and managing mental health programs for over 25 years, working with adults and adolescents in private practice and in various community mental health programs. I treat a wide range of issues and I also have experience with mental health services provided in our school systems to students and their families via the Individual Education Program (IEP) process (Orange County, K-12).
My name is Judy Jordan and I took an evening course in Psychology 5 after work and by the end of it, I knew I wanted to be a therapist. I was drawn to understanding people on a deeper level and helping them through their struggles. With support from my dad, I left my job and went back to school and I loved every minute of learning and felt more certain with each class that I was on the right track. My dedication paid off as I made straight A's and the Academic Achievement Award in Psychology. More importantly I found a sense of purpose in supporting others in their mental health journeys.
As a first-generation Mexican American and member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I understand the importance of culturally responsive, affirming mental health care. My own healing journey through therapy showed me the power of feeling seen, supported, and understood, and that continues to guide the work I do today.
