

David Bess is a social work practitioner, educator, activist, and advocate grounded in the core values of service orientation, social justice, dignity and worth of every person. He is a Veteran of the United States Air Force, who obtained undergraduate education in psychology and social work from Rutgers University, graduate clinical social work studies at New York University, and extensive postgraduate certifications, licensure, and trainings in clinical techniques, community organizing, management, and leadership. David’s 25+year history has allowed him to work across the macro, mezzo, and micro systems delivering his service mission ‘to assist individuals and groups to obtain their human rights, increase social justice, and to make healthier decisions’.
Having a social work career as a military firefighter, public social worker, corporate human resource executive, life/executive coach, and university professor, David has traveled, taught, and practiced in many global locations and this diverse experience influenced his philosophy and practice of social work greatly.

I am a licensed clinical social worker and have been working with individuals and couples for almost ten years. I have helped people working though issues including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues.
I believe that trust and honesty are the foundation to the helping relationship. I am also trainings in EMDR and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and strive to offer current evidence-based interventions to help my clients heal.
I most of all believe that having respect for my clients and their concerns is at the heart of creating trust. Having a place to feel heard, understood without judgement can be freeing in and of itself. Since 2010, Susan Chung has been working in the field of mental health and have provided counseling services for seniors, children, adolescents and adults and seen several hundred cases. Ms. Chung’s expertise is working with individual children, adolescents, adults, and families. Ms. Chung has received her Master of Social Work degree in 2014 at New York University. Besides holding a MSW degree, MS. Chung has received her Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from University of Southern California in 2009.
Currently, Ms. Chung holds a Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW) in New York, New Jersey, and North Carolina states, have several years of supervision experience, and am fluent in Mandarin, Taiwanese, and English.

I enjoy working with individuals moving through difficult life transitions where they may feel lost. We can find the answers together. I specialize in helping both youth and adults navigate past and present challenges through various treatment modalities that are evidence based. My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, relationship instability and trauma. Therapy isn't one size fits all, the goal is to discover what works best for you.
