Hello. My name is Jay Hong and I am a licensed therapist working in the mental health field for over 25 years. It can be quite daunting to reach out for help and I am glad that you made it here. I utilize an eclectic approach and have extensive experience with depression, anxiety, trauma and sleep issues. I look forward to working with you.
Hello and welcome to PSYCHIATRY SERVICES at my HEALTH AND WELLNESS professional office!
As a General (Adult) and Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist, I am passionate about empowering all ages on their journey towards mental health and well-being.
I completed a residency in General Psychiatry and fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Georgia's prestigious medical college, one of the oldest medical schools in the nation. This expert, specialized training has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to understand the unique psychological needs of children, adolescents, and adults.
I am a Board Certified Psychiatrist, and am also a Board Certified Pediatrician (triple-trained in General Pediatrics, General Psych, and Child/Adolescent Psych). I completed pediatrics residency at NYC’s only academic Children’s Hospital in Brooklyn, SUNY Downstate. Additionally, I graduated with a Master of Public Health with an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Health Communications from renowned Stony Brook University’s School of Medicine & their Journalism’s Center for Communicating Science, and graduated medical school with clinical accolades at NY’s oldest osteopathic college, NYIT.
My goal as a therapist is to help guide you toward authenticity while re-establishing interpersonal connections with those around you. Whether you’re looking to gain skills, problem-solving for everyday stress, or are experiencing major life events, we can explore and work toward your personal goals collaboratively. I have a specialty in working with individuals who don’t have a good relationship with food and are seeking to repair their body image, self-esteem, and comfortability with food.
Thanks for visiting my page. I’m Esteban, and I bring over 30 years of experience in the human services field and more than a decade as a licensed therapist. I work with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, bipolar disorder, panic disorders, grief and loss, relationship struggles, identity questions, and stress management. I also support clients exploring men’s issues and LGBTQIA+ experiences, always with an open, affirming, and respectful perspective.
At the heart of my work is a simple goal: helping people reach their highest potential in life. Many of the people I work with want to better understand their past experiences, make sense of their emotions, and begin making meaningful changes. My style is holistic, open-minded, and affirming, and I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel respected and supported.
Life can feel overwhelming at times, and reaching out for support takes courage. I work with adults and families who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, empowered, and equipped to navigate whatever challenges you’re facing.
