Hi, I’m Sarah! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for helping people find self-understanding, build meaningful relationships, and grow through life's big changes.
I most commonly treat anxiety, depression, relational distress, and difficulty adjusting to new life circumstances. I especially enjoy working with adults in their 20's and 30's.
Many of my clients have been there... trying to find the right therapist and questioning if they can be brave enough to make the first appointment. Maybe you are trying to find the right fit, maybe you are questioning if it is worth it. To those struggling with the multitudes of issues life can throw at all of us-I am here for you! Together we will uncover your power and courage to know that you can do difficult things.
Welcome! I am a open-minded, caring, and energetic therapist with a background in treating a variety of mental health concerns. I have had my private practice for about 10 years. Prior to private practice, I was working in the substance abuse field and treated occurring disorders for 10 years. I love working with clients to identify and understand their strengths and how to use them to build a quality life with continued growth.
I will support & encourage you to find your voice (you ever scream in the shower or car? Try it). I will support & challenge you to say "NO" (trust me it's not a cuss word). I will support you in finding & stepping into your power (put on some boots, we bout to kick life back hard). I will support & celebrate your worth (SHINE BRIGHT LIKE A DIAMOND). I will support & embrace your magic (Yes, I do have a wand). I will support & honor your heart work (HEALING VIBES).
With over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, I am passionate about supporting adults and couples as they navigate life’s transitions and pursue meaningful growth. Whether you are a college student or recent graduate adjusting to a new season of life, an individual facing anxiety or depression, or a couple preparing for marriage or working to strengthen your relationship, I strive to provide guidance that feels both supportive and practical.
My Christian faith shapes my personal values; however, I work with people from all backgrounds and beliefs. Faith-based perspectives are incorporated into counseling only if a client specifically desires it.
My goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. Life transitions—whether expected or unexpected—can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate them alone. Together, we can explore the challenges you are facing and work toward the emotional and personal goals that matter most to you.
I specialize in working with adults experiencing life changes, including college and post-college transitions, relationship challenges, marriage and premarital preparation, and parenting. I also support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, and stress that often accompany these seasons of change. My background as a behavioral specialist in community mental health allows me to effectively support adults diagnosed with ADHD or autism spectrum disorder, as well as parents raising children with these diagnoses.
When working with individuals, I primarily use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, and life transitions. My focus is on equipping you with practical tools and strategies so you can move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and resilience.
