Your Safe Place, Hello my name is Daleshia Hulett I am a Licensed Therapist, Chemical Dependency Counselor and a Certified School Counselor with more than ten years of experience as a Mental Health Professional. Over the years I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, struggles in relationships, family problems, career challenges, ADHD, Autism, trauma & worked with clients that have experienced emotional/physical abuse, substance abuse, and neglect.
I understand that every single person has been molded and formed by their environments around them. Sometimes, that leads us to being a person that we no longer want to be, which is when therapy can be helpful. In order for effective change to take place, therapy must be a safe and welcoming place in order for you to feel comfortable learning and discovering which route to take in your self-discovery journey.
Clients who want an easy-going, direct, and casual yet professional approach to therapy will enjoy working with me.
I am experienced in working with adults and adolescents suffering from anxiety, depression, suicidality, trauma survival, relationship struggles, domestic violence survival, non-suicidal self-injury, and more.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor passionate about helping children, teens, adults, and families heal and grow. My approach integrates trauma-informed and evidence-based methods, including EMDR, TF-CBT, and parent-child work to strengthen relationships and promote resilience. At Bending Willows Wellness, we believe in the power of flexibility and perseverance—helping clients “bend” rather than break through life’s challenges. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where you can explore, heal, and move toward a more fulfilling and authentic life.
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor and for over 7 years I've worked in private practice in Wimberley, TX after serving at-risk youth and families in schools, teens in treatment centers, and working as a career counselor. I specialize in ADHD, women's issues, mood disorders (including suicidal ideation and self-harm), low self-esteem, parenting, and family conflict. My goal is to offer a supportive nonjudgmental space for healing and growth. Outside of work, I enjoy swimming, trail running, yoga, meditation and exploring the Texas Hill Country with my two children and friends.
It is my belief that as people become more aware and accepting of themselves, they are more capable of finding a sense of peace and contentment in their lives. Some of my clients need only a few sessions to achieve these goals, others may require months or even years to put their puzzle pieces together. As a client, you are in complete control, and you may end your relationship with me at any point. I am actively licensed in the State of Texas as a LMFT; LPC; and LCDC.
What is your approach to therapy? For therapy to be most successful, it is important for you to take an active role. This means working on the things you and I talk about, both during and between sessions. Generally, the more you are willing to invest the greater the return. It is my intention to empower you in your growth process to the degree that you can face life’s challenges in the future without me. I do not believe in creating dependency or prolonging therapy if the therapeutic intervention does not seem to be helping.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?As a clinician, I have experience providing person-centered recovery plans; rehabilitation skills training; case management; and crisis intervention services, to individuals living with severe and persistent mental health concerns. I am qualified to offer a wide array of counseling services in the areas of Individual Family; Couples; and Chemical Dependency. Counseling services to address a wide range of mental health and relationship issues that impact a person’s emotional health and wellbeing.
As a board certified psychotherapist, I believe prioritizing mental health is key to happiness and stability in life. Seeking help can be one of the hardest parts, so congratulations on taking that step! I have 13 years of experience in the mental health field but more recently have focused on work with adult clients who have unresolved childhood trauma. I also enjoy helping clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, OCD, stress and life transitions.
