As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I work with individuals and families who are navigating complex emotions and life transitions, including experiences of trauma, neurodivergence, and the ways these challenges can impact relationships and parenting. Many people I work with feel overwhelmed or emotionally worn down, often recognizing that past experiences are still shaping how they relate to themselves or others.
I have been honored to work in private practice for over 15 years. Earlier in my career, I worked with families in crisis who were involved in the child welfare and legal systems. This early work continues to inform my understanding of trauma, complex systems, and the realities of parenting under significant stress, and has shaped the steady, grounded approach I bring to therapy.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, and a Master of Counseling from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. In my practice, I strive to offer a space that feels respectful, attuned, and emotionally safe—where meaningful change can unfold.
Jerred P. White MA, LCDC, LPC. Years of experience has taught me to listen carefully to the individual needs of the client. I am passionate about my work and deeply care about recovery.
With decades of experience, I am well-versed in many different modalities. No one approach works for everyone, so I built a large tool kit to have a broad range of tools available. Areas of expertise include individual, couples and family counseling, trauma recovery, anxiety, depression, special needs of gifted and talented, medical social work, impact of illness, traumatic brain injury, grief and bereavement, positive aging, geriatrics and end of life issues. Having been raised in a military family I enjoy working with our veterans, active duty personnel and their families.
Hello! My name is Amber, and I am a licensed therapist who provides an LGBTQIA+ affirming and allied space for those navigating anxiety and depression. I work with individuals who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally exhausted and are looking for grounded and genuine support. I offer a warm, non-judgmental space that is deeply immersed in empathy. We can navigate anxiety and depression together and work towards achievable goals.
I strive for creating the conditions were humans can regain their curiosity, hope, and a new interactional perspective of themselves. Having also also known love, generosity, tolerance, respect and solidarity. I reject the need for cynicism: under the right conditions one can comfortably adhere to the unconditional confidence in the human potential for self-understanding, tolerance and positive change.
