Antonia "Toni" Verhine is a licensed clinical social worker, addiction specialist associate, and certified integrative mental health provider who takes a holistic and trauma-informed approach to treating mental health and substance abuse disorders. Currently, she is going through training to become a certified ketamine-assisted psychotherapy provider.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience working with Adolescents, Adults, Families, and Veterans. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters healing, growth, and self-actualization.
My path to becoming a therapist is rooted in lived experience. Claiming joy and authenticity—as a sober, trans, kinky, non-monogamous, bisexual person—has taken time, intention, and community. I’ve moved through fear, people-pleasing, relapse, and grief, and found healing in therapy and holistic recovery spaces that reminded me who I was when I couldn’t see it myself.
I believe we’re all doing our best with the tools we have, and that therapy can offer space to build new ones—tools for feeling more, hiding less, and showing up in ways that feel true. My style is collaborative, steady, and grounded in care that doesn’t shy away from depth.
I earned my MSW from Columbia University in 2015 and began my career in home-based family therapy at NY Foundling. I later supported LGBTQIA+ youth at the LGBT Center and joined Dulcinea Pitagora’s group practice before founding my own. I continue to offer clinical supervision to social work interns at the LGBT Center.
After 11 years in NYC, I moved to the Hudson Valley to live among trees, rescue dogs, and small-town queer community. Outside of session, I’m often on a trail, on my yoga mat, or watching the birds from my porch.
I’m Hannah Dobson, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience helping individuals navigate anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, grief, parenting, and challenging relationship and family dynamics. I have a Master’s degree in Social Work and bring a compassionate, holistic, and client-centered approach to therapy. I specialize in treating OCD using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and support clients impacted by emotionally immature parents, life transitions, and chronic stress. My work is grounded in evidence-based practices and tailored to each client’s unique needs, strengths, and goals.
I bring warmth, authenticity, and a calm, steady presence to the therapeutic relationship. While my focus is on children and teens, I also support adults who are navigating stress, anxiety, trauma, and major life changes.
I’m intentional about creating a space where clients of all ages feel understood and supported. While working with children and teens, I work to build trust through patience, playfulness, and developmentally appropriate communication. For adults, I offer a grounded, collaborative environment where they can explore challenges openly and at their own pace. Parents often share that they appreciate my ability to connect with their child while also offering clear communication, guidance, and compassion throughout the process.
As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS), Military & Family Life Counselor (MFLC), Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), and holder of a B.S. in Health & Fitness Specialist, I offer a whole-person, integrated approach to healing. I'm also a combat veteran who knows firsthand the pain, isolation, and uncertainty that come with trauma, disability, and major life transitions. I’ve felt stuck, lost purpose, and fought to rebuild. Through the same services I now offer—counseling, rehabilitation, fitness, and career support—I reclaimed my life. Now, it’s my mission to help others do the same.
I am offering immediate appointment slots and flexible rates during this difficult time. Are you struggling with anxiety and depression due to COVID-19? Do you feel uncertain about how to move forward during this difficult time? You may feel trapped or hopeless, but I can help you with proven coping skills and by working with you to create a new perspective. My life experience provides a solid foundation upon which I have built my techniques and interventions. In addition to my work with adults, I have experience with teens and young adults, and enjoy connecting with them and helping them navigate life and family challenges.
I spent 25 years in corporate America before earning my master's degree in professional counseling. This experience has given me insight into the stresses in the workplace. Having been a long time sufferer of anxiety, I can empathize with the weight of this emotion while also sharing techniques that have helped me live a better, more enjoyable life.
We are living in uncertain times and COVID fatigue has made daily life even more difficult to manage. It can feel overwhelming, but I will work with you to re-train your brain so that your automatic thought patterns are encouraging instead of fearful.
