She has a Bachelor of Arts in applied psychology and a minor in criminal justice from Penn State University, Berks campus. She is a licensed professional counselor (LPC), a certified advanced alcohol and drugs counselor (CAADC), a certified clinical trauma professional (CCTP), certified in dialectical behavior therapy (C-DBT) and a rainbow advocate clinical specialist (RACS).

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work. I have worked as a therapist in a multitude of settings, including hospitals, school districts, Juvenile Justice, group practices and private practice. As a health psychologist, I emphasize working with my client to create the healthiest version of the self, both mind and body. My interest in both medicine and psychology took me to Philadelphia Osteopathic Medicine where I earned a Psy.D. in clinical health psychology. I have experience working with individuals with chronic health conditions (chronic pain and headache) and broad mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, insomnia, and grief. I also am passionate about providing LQBTIQ + affirming care.

Hi! My name is Mara, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have spent the last 15 years learning how to see, understand, and support people from all different walks of life. I specialize in working with adults, and have special areas of interest in working with those who see themselves as neurodiverse. I received my Master's Degree through the University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky, and was able to complete hands-on training at West Virginia University in their embedded counseling services on the Health Sciences Campus.
