Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker drawing from several years of experience in a school environment as well as counseling with individuals and families. I am committed to meeting you where you are, fostering genuine connections, and ensuring that you feel accepted and heard. My goal in each session is to learn about your experiences and goals to determine the best therapeutic strategies for your journey.
I work with individuals navigating a wide range of life’s challenges, offering a supportive space to explore stress, transitions, relationships, and emotional wellbeing. I also work with teens, especially those who may feel hesitant about therapy, helping them discover what sparks their interest and incorporating strengths in our sessions.
I have been providing counseling services since 1992. After graduating from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity), I completed a two-year post-graduate internship at the Christian Family Institute with an emphasis on Structural Family Therapy, Strategic Family Therapy, and Family System’s Theory. I am also a Self-Leadership Coach (Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, Accelerating Coach Excellence Certified Coach, and a Certified Red Team Coach.

Hi! I am Lauren, Licensed Professional Counselor. I Love what I do. I have been providing therapy for 15+ years in a variety of settings; inpatient hospitalization, outpatient group therapy & private practice. I work with symptoms of depression, anxiety, loss, relationship problems and those who are generally resistant to therapy. I count it as a blessing to walk beside those at their perceived worst... and at their very best. I am so glad you reached out, looking forward to the journey!
Service has been a constant in my life. I have served in the United States Marine Corps, worked in law enforcement, taught in the classroom, and now serve as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Each chapter shaped how I understand stress, trauma, responsibility, and personal transformation.
My work is grounded in both lived experience and clinical training. I know what it means to operate under pressure. I understand how trauma embeds itself in the body and how identity can fracture under prolonged stress. I also know that change is possible when insight is paired with disciplined, intentional work.
Clients often describe me as direct, steady, and grounded. I don’t believe in surface-level coping alone. I believe in helping you understand your patterns, regulate your nervous system, and build internal strength that carries beyond the therapy room.
Whether you are navigating PTSD, anxiety, depression, or a major life transition, our work together is focused on clarity, resilience, and sustainable change.
Throughout the past two decades, I have dedicated my career to working with young individuals and their families within the educational environment, serving as both an educator and a school counselor. Currently, I hold the position of a licensed professional counselor, where I continue to support and guide individuals on their journeys.
My academic credentials were earned at Stephen F. Austin State University, where I developed a strong foundation in counseling principles and practices. I am deeply passionate about empowering individuals to discover their purpose, experience healing, and embrace their true identity in Christ. My commitment to supporting the personal and spiritual growth of those I work with is at the core of my professional philosophy.
I seek to help individuals heal on the threefold path: mind, body, and spirit. I work with clients with a variety of issues: addictions, anxiety disorders, trauma/PTSD, sexuality issues, mental wellness for management of depression, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, and adjustment to major life transitions and decisions. I am of service to the LGBTQIAA+ community,
